RECRUITMENT

We are looking for an experienced and reliable handy person with a wide range of craftsmanship and practical skills, to undertake general work at the Surgery.

Your day-to-day job will be extremely varied, some of your regular duties will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing the property both interior and exterior
  • Upkeep and repair task
  • Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
  • Changing fuses, minor electricity faults etc.
  • Minor plumbing and carpentry
  • An element of cleaning may be needed
  • Moving furniture or equipment
  • Assembling of furniture or equipment
  • Footpath/outside area cleaning and maintenance
  • Painting and decorating (touch-ups)
  • Clearing of gutters

Requirements

  • Proven experience as handy person
  • Experience with hardware tools and electrical equipment (must supply your own tools)
  • Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
  • Good communication ability
  • Well-Organized and apt in problem-solving
  • Attention to detail

    Hours – Ad-hoc basis Rate of Pay – To be agreed depending on experience
